Some children find reading difficult. Think of children with dyslexia, motor impairments, visual challenges or concentration disorders. Teacher Reference Guide

This guide for teachers describes different types of disabilities, its causes, signs and symptoms, but more importantly identifies classroom strategies that support (and manage) learners with mild or moderate Learning- or Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Hearing or Visual Impairment.

BEHAVIOUR OBSERVATION & INCLUSIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

Behaviour Management Observation and Response Card

This one pager is an easy to use tool to help teachers remember what to do when children (with and without disabilities) demonstrate certain behaviours in the classroom. Observed behaviour such as a child acting out, or a child easily distracted, or a child that needs more time to understand a concept, are followed by practical suggestions for positive, inclusive management.
